Clean Recovery Leaders Share Insights During Tampa Television Interview
“Today is a New Day.” That word of hope for addicts came from leaders of Clean Recovery Centers during an interview on ABC’s WFTS Morning Blend Show in Tampa Bay.
“I’ve heard that many people get help but later slip back to their old ways,” said host Carley Boyette during the segment on “What Is Needed to Recover.”
“That was me,” said Nick Cuneo, President and Founder of Clean Recovery Centers. “But remember, no matter how many times you’ve tried to recover and failed, today is a new day. We’ve created a program that gives addicts what they need to thrive going forward.”
Cuneo and Rick Davila, ACS, PhD., Director of Recovery Support Services, listed these vital program ingredients for recovery:
- Instilling hope
- Providing a clear-cut pathway to sobriety
- Offering supporting services
- Making teachers constantly available
Cuneo and Davila stressed that family can play a key role in recovery. “Family needs to empower but not enable the addict,” they noted. “Family is important, but you can get clean without it.”
Morning Blend is an original, local lifestyle show focused on providing informative, useful and entertaining content.
Nick Cuneo and Rick Davila also appeared in a Morning Blend segment, which aired on July 27, 2017, about supporting a loved one with addiction without enabling them.
